  1. Admonish To caution or advise against something; scold mildly; to remind of a duty. The doctor admonished the man for smoking.

  2. Breach • An opening, gap, rupture, rift; a violation or infraction; • (v) to create an opening, break through “Oh man, I have three breaches in my barrel!” John and Kate have breached their marriage vows.

  3. Brigand • A bandit, robber, outlaw, highwayman I’m such a great brigand that I’ll never get caught!

  4. Circumspect • Careful, cautious • Syns: prudent, guarded • Ants: rash, reckless • Would “circumspect” have a favorable or unfavorable connotation? Are you?

  15. Predispose • V. To incline to beforehand • Syn: make susceptible to • Ant: immunize against • Break the word into parts. How does this help? • Are you predisposed to getting sick easily?

  16. Relinquish • V. to let go, give up • Syn: surrender, abandon • Ant: hold on to, keep, restrain • Awhite flag symbolizes surrendering and relinquishing. • Lincoln-Way will never relinquish its reign as the greatest school in Illinois!
