  2. When are they used? • To indicate that: the person who carries outthe action = the person who receives the action. Yo me cepillo los dientes.

How are they formed? • In the generic infinitive form, a reflexive verb ends in – se lavar = to wash lavarse = to wash yourself • When we conjugate reflexive verbs, we use a reflexive pronoun with each conjugation. (yo)melavo (tú)te lavas (él, ella, Ud.)selava (nosotros) nos lavamos (vosotros) os laváis (ellos, Uds.) se lavan

Structures • Normally, the reflexive pronoun goes in front of the conjugated verb: • Yo me ducho por la mañana. • Ellosse divierten en las fiestas. • When a reflexive verb is used in the infinitive and refers to a specific person, the infinitive reflects the subject of the sentence. • (yo) Debocepillarme los dientes. • (nosotros) Tenemos quecepillarnos los dientes antes de salir de la casa.
