  1. Day 2 Please sit down quickly and take out your carpeta. ***If you were not here last class please come see Señorita Hall.

  2. Tarea • As Señorita Hall calls roll, you need to: • Respond appropriately with Síor Aquí • Bring both of your signed forms that were tarea up to Señorita Hall

  3. Procedures Leaving seat, Classroom Jobs, Absent, Tutoring, Moving desks, Storytelling

  4. Leaving Seat • There are only THREE reasons you should get out of your seat in this class: • Sharpen your pencil • Tissue • Go to the restroom • To get out of your seat, follow the proper hand-raising sign and wait for Señorita Hall to nod to you

  5. Classroom Jobs • Policía • Answer the phone • Open/close the door • Give out boletos when told to do so • Set positive behavior example • Secretario • ***Must have a smart phone and be able to use and download the app “ThreeRing” • Take quality, legible notes and fill out packet work completely, post notes to ThreeRing • Set positive behavior example • Asistente • Pass out/collect papers • Assist Señorita Hall as directed • Set positive behavior example • Director • Take attendence • Fill out the “You Missed A” binder completely and thoroughly • Set positive behavior example • Applications!!!

  6. Absent • If you are absent, YOU are responsible for learning the material you missed and YOU are responsible for any work that needs to be turned in • First, check the “You Missed A” binder to see if anything was collected/ turned in and what topic we covered while you were absent • Next, review and study the PowerPoint from the wiki** • Please note: Señorita Hall is not responsible for reminding you of the work/information you missed- it is YOUR responsibility

  7. Tutoring • Tutoring is always at 8:00AM on Tuesday mornings ONLY • You must sign up in advance with a goal of what you want to review or you will not be allowed inside the classroom • You must sign up on the clipboard at the front of the classroom • Maximum of 10 students per week

  8. Moving Desks • On a regular class day you will be in the desk groups of 4/5 that you are right now • Your regular desk is marked with rainbow tape (sort of) • Before being dismissed from class you must ensure that your desk is in the correct spot • For testing/writing your desks will move to the spots marked with black tape-rows(sort of) • Señorita Hall expects the desks to move in 1 minute or less or we will do it again until we get it right (we will practice this)

  9. Storytelling • During a story you have one job: to learn the story • If I ask a question you know the answer to, as a group you will answer the question in Spanish with Sí, No, or a proper noun • When I tell you new information in a story you will express interest as a group by saying “Ohhhh” • When something bad happens you will respond as a group by saying “Ohhhhh NO!” • If I ask a question you do not know the answer to, it is your job to surprise me and call out an answer ***You may also make comments such as terrible, que horror, maravilloso, estupendo, obviamente, etc.

  10. Goals Send one person from each table group to collect a sticky notes from Señorita Hall

  11. Goals must be SMART • S • Specific • M • Measurable • A • Attainable • R • Relevant • T • Time-bound

  12. Student Survey Send a different student to collect a copy of the student survey for each person at your table group

  13. Student Survey • Please answer honestly and completely- this information will be used to make our class more fun and enjoyable because it will be about YOU!

  15. Tarea • If you want to apply for a classroom job, your applications are due NEXT CLASS PERIOD. NO EXCEPTIONS! (Why would you hire the person who turns in their application late?) • If you did not turn in your two signed forms today, they are due next class
