  1. Topic 2 and 3 Enrichment By Hannah Jiang

  2. Story When Marissa woke that morning she got up and went to the kitchen for something to eat then remembered that she had to go to the science squad. Soon everything was packed and ready to go. Hurrying despite the down pouring rain, Marissa was able to get there in time. The science squad was going to leap from a tree about 9 feet above sea level, then land in the ocean and see how many feet below sea level (they were hoping to get at least -10 feet under water).

  3. Story(continued) “Thank goodness you’re here!, "her friend Kate puffed as she ran over the hill that lined the lake they lived by. "We thought that we would have to start without you!” she quickly led Marissa to everyone else.” Ok Kate and Mason will climb up the tree and jump from the tree!” A girl named cassie shouted.

  4. Story (continued) “Hmm…” Kate chattered as she climbed out of the lake. I felt like that was about -7 feet below sea level. That is about 22 ft down!”

  5. “was it cold?” Marissa asked as Kate went to join the others, “kind of,” she said. “ Ok now you are going with Cassie”. Gulping, Marissa climbed up the tree and jumped. The water was not to bad, she thought as she swam upwards, it was nice, she realized as she swam upwards. When she was above the water, she quickly swam to the edge of the lake and got out.   6. “nice job,” Kate said as Marissa climbed out of the lake. “That was -8 feet underwater. ”that means 10 feet underwater, subtracting negative eight from that is 18 feet and the total should be 19 feet. You missed it by 1 foot!” Story (continued)

  7. Story (still continued) “hey every one!” Cassie called, “ it’s 4:00, we got to go!” with a moan, everyone dragged their stuff together and went home.
