Customs regulations • HHG and personal effects are duty free if owned and used for at least six months prior to move to France and if the goods remain in the owner’s possession for at least a year. • Client must have lived outside of the European Union for at least 1 year prior to move to France. • All personal effects shipments are subject to inspection. That’s can be done without the client’s presence.
Documents required • Detailed Itemized list of articles. Comprehensive list of articles signed and dated by the customer • Passport copy (page to page) • Certificate of change of residence Obtained from the french consulate OR • Working permit • Non resale Attestation – attached – • Proof of residence in France • Declaration of duty exemption/entry of personal effects – attached - CERFA N° 10070 * 01
