  1. Yellow Tea – The New Green Summary: Flavorful than green or black tea, has a bright floral aroma and is sweet in taste. Recommended as a must try by experts around the world and they cannot put enough emphasis on how enriched a cup of yellow tea can possibly be than your popular green tea. Origin: Yellow tea comes from the tea plant, Camellia sinensis. It originates in the Human, Sichuan and Zhejiang regions of China, East Asia. It was introduced in the west as a gift to the Danes. It is also known as Huan Cha in china. Fun fact: It derives its name from Chinese emperors. During that time, the drink was especially reserved only for the emperors. The color yellow was associated with the emperors, and because the tea had a yellow tinge to it, it was only given to be given to them, nobody else was allowed. Process: The process is similar to that of green tea, oolong or black tea. But the fermentation requires an extra step that essentially makes the whole process a little time consuming. The Sealing yellow step helps to retain the color of the tea. Tea leaves are put through wet piling and smelting (unique), where they are kept moist in cloth wrap and then steamed. This cycle is repeated two to three times. Benefits: •Scientifically proven to ameliorate the symptoms associated with diabetes, especially type- 2.
