  3. The heart of every matter is the matter of the heart. Psalm 118:28-29

  4. Genesis 4:2-7 – Later she gave birth to his brother and named him Abel. When they grew up, Abel became a shepherd, while Cain cultivated the ground. 3 When it was time for the harvest, Cain presented some of his crops as a gift to the Lord. 4 Abel also brought a gift—the best of the firstborn lambs from his flock. The Lord accepted Abel and his gift . . . Psalm 118:28-29

  5. 5 but He did not accept Cain and his gift. This made Cain very angry, and he looked dejected. 6 "Why are you so angry?" the Lord asked Cain. "Why do you look so dejected? 7 You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master." Psalm 118:28-29

She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God's gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered. • Or, “Mr. Cain, so your worship will not be rejected.” Psalm 118:28-29

  10. Some believers have not discovered that worship is a lifestyle. Psalm 118:24 – This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:28-29

  11. Some do not have a clear revelation of what God has done for them. Psalm 30:12 – I'm about to burst with song; I can't keep quiet about You. God, my God, I can't thank You enough.(MSG) Psalm 118:28-29

  12. Some believers have a negative stereotype about worship. Psalm 118:28-29

  13. Some find it hard to worship God when they have unconfessed sin in their life. 1 John 1:9 – If we confess our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Psalm 118:28-29

  14. Some have trouble worshiping God when they keep remembering all the bad things people have done to them in the past. Psalm 118:28-29

  16. The Heart of Worship When the music fades, All is stripped away, And I simply come; Longing just to bring something that’s of worth, That will bless Your heart. I’ll bring You more than a song. Psalm 118:28-29

  17. For a song in itself Is not what You have required. You search much deeper within Through the way things appear; You’re looking into my heart. Psalm 118:28-29

Psalm 118:28-29 – You are my God, and I will confess, praise, and give thanks to You; You are my God, I will extol You. 29 O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever. (AMP) Worship = Who He is. Praise = What He has done. Thanksgiving = What He has done for me. Psalm 118:28-29
