Total unemployment • At the end of August 2009, in Croatian Employment Service (HZZ), there were 251,005 unemployed persons, which is 2,419 persons more than in the previous month and 31,671 persons more than in August 2008. • Therefore, unemployment rate in August 2009 was 14.4 percent higher than in the same month 2008.
