  3. Rating This internship provided me with a detailed look into the world of event management. The people in the department are friendly and more than willing to lend an hand. The only thing that could have made this internship better is if it were paid.

  4. Photos From the Office

  5. Internship Objectives • Become more comfortable in verbally addressing my colleagues (especially my superiors). • Become more effective and efficient by bettering my time management skills. • Learn exactly what goes into fully organizing and operating an event from start to finish. • Develop my problem solving abilities, by challenging myself to find solutions to a daily problems. • Polish my professional attitude and decorum, by conducting myself appropriately in a professional business setting.

  6. Daily Activities • Answering Calls • Copying • Sending/Receiving Faxes • Interacting With Teams, Coaches Parents • Typing • Updating City Website • Updating Team Database

  7. Project Description My major project consisted of me organizing and running a full three day long softball tournament. The tournament itself was relatively small in comparison to some of the other events that I have helped run, but I was still able to get a good feel for what it is like to be in the drivers seat from start to finish. The project was very demanding as I had to put in a 39 hour weekend of work to get everything done, but it was well worth the experience.
