Before closing a chapter on her books, OmolaramiAkindiji had prevented a police station, barnet police station- from being shut down. She believed that the new location was inconvenient, the reason why they are holding on to pieces of evidence that there were people who went against the law in trespassing at the aid station and would be fined a hefty amount of money. Standing firm in her beliefs, she fought for the rights of the workers to avoid inconvenience from traveling far; she had stood firm in her petition, going against the Mayor’s order to demolish the station.
