Getting To Know Your Pocket PC Pocket PC Track Descriptions • Pocket PC Basics: • To effectively and efficiently integrate such a mobile device, teachers need to understand as to the functionality of the Pocket PC. With its full range of capabilities, both in hardware and software, it provides numerous educational and instructional opportunities. This module will examine issues from Pocket PC basics to transferring data via infrared. • Tools to Online Resources: • This module examines the functionality and tools that provide accessibility and management to Internet resources. • Access to Instructional Tools and Resources: • To use the Pocket PC as a true administrative tool, administrators need to understand the variety of online and offline tools that are available via the Pocket PC and the Internet. This module examines tools ranging from data sharing to planning. 4

Pocket PC Basics • Key Skills: • Understand how to set up the Pocket PC. • Gain an understanding of how to work with applications. • Use the PC Start Menu to access Programs, Favorites, Documents, Settings, etc. • Understand how to use Windows (File) Explorer to access folders and files. • Use the basic functions to customize the Pocket PC. 5
