Mario is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bellini. He works in the news stand at the subway station in Times Square.

The five items kept in the Bellinis’ newsstand are: a radio for listening, a kleenex box for Mama’s hayfever, a cash register for money which there was not much of, an alarm clock for no good reason, and a box of kitchen matches for lighting Papa’s pipe.
