Why should God be at the forefront when we make important decisions? • Because we don’t know what’s best for us (Jer. 10:23) • Because He is our perfect guide (Pr. 3:5-6) • Because His Word leads us in the best direction (Ps. 119:105) • Because He provides us wisdom through prayer (Ja. 1:5-6) • Because blessings come when we put Him first (Mt. 6:33)

What happens when we make God an afterthought in our decision-making? • We usually end up making dumb decisions • We choose the wrong career path (Gen. 13:10-13) • We make the wrong kind of friends (II Sam. 13:3-5) • We marry the wrong person (Judg. 14:1-4) • We decide not to follow Jesus (Jn. 12:42-43)

  4. The most important decision in life: • Hear the Gospel (Rm. 10:17) • Believe in Jesus (Jn. 1:12) • Confession of Faith (I Jn. 4:15) • Repent of Sins (II Pet. 3:9) • Baptized into Christ (Gal. 3:27) • Remain Faithful (Rev. 2:10) • If we err as a child of God: Repent of Sins & Pray for Forgiveness (Ac. 8:22)
