The North Worcester Cluster Organisation reflects on a successful year working with the University to identify and support student placements, including work experience and pre-PGCE students. The process involved informal meetings to share essential information about schools and placements, alongside gathering student feedback through questionnaires. Regular updates ensured student progress and successful mentor-mentee connections. We aim to gather end-of-course feedback to improve future placements and address any raised issues, ensuring students thrive in their educational journeys.

Organisation • We were inspired from this time last year. • First we met with University to create a wish list of students from; • * work experience students • *pre- PGCE students • (lots of useful phone calls between us all)
First Meeting with students • Informal meeting. • Information about schools, placements shared. • Questionnaire given to students. • Needs of school shared. • Mentors discussed who they thought was best suited.
Continuity • Regular meetings to update student progress and any issues raised. • Limited issues due to the nature of the set up. • We ensured students were compliant with regards to age phases. • After SE1 we discussed further the students suitability for their next placement e.g. EAL. • Cluster supported any issues raised within the schools e.g. New mentors.
Disadvantages of the partnership • ??????????????????????????????????????? • We will get feedback from the students at the end of their course to see where we could improve next time. • Any questions?
