Adjectives and plural words IMPORTANT. Remember that adjectives haven't got a plural form. A white guitar two brown guitars NO two brownsguitars Two different stories NO two differents stories

COUNTABLE AND UNCOUNTABLE WORDS There are countable and uncountable words in English. You can count almost everything, but some things are not USUALLY counted. (twolentils, three peas) Countable Nouns can be naturally counted, they are separated example: an orange two oranges, ten oranges, etc Uncountable Nouns are nouns that do not appear separately, you have to put them in containers or measures, so you count the measure. • Some uncountable words are abstract love, time, music. money • others are liquids or small things: flour, milk, wood, sugar.
You cannot use a/an with uncountable words, and they are always singular. • I love music I love musics Have you got some milk? Have you got a milk?
Countingtheuncountable To make uncountable words countable you can use. a) measures and weight: a kilo, a litre, a pinch, a teaspoon b) names of containers: a bottle, a glass, a packet (paquete) , a bag (bolsa) example: a bottle of milk, a tin of peas

SOME, ANY • Use some and any with uncountable words in singular or countable in plural • He has got some friends (tiene amigos) (you often don't translate it into Spanish) • She has got some Chinese clothes (it means "algunos")
SOME, ANY SOME use some in affirmative sentences and offers I have baked some apples/ Would you like some tea? ANY use any with negative or interrogative sentences when you don't expect and affirmative answer I haven't got any sugar / have you got any references?
ANY in negative sentences it means ningún, o nada de , but we don't often translate it I haven'tgotanysugar: no tengo (nada de ) azúcar She hasn't got any children (no tienehijos) Has she got any money? (¿tieneelladinero?)
