  4. ATTENDANCE & DISMISSAL • Students should arrive to school by 7:45 am every morning. Class begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. Please drop your child to school on time. • If your child arrives after 8:30 a.m., please sign in at the receptionist (front desk) upon entering the school. • Dismissal: is at 3:15 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. On Wed dismissal is at 2:00 p.m.

  5. Tardiness • If students are tardy, they miss valuable teaching time that can’t be made up. • Students who receive 10 or more tardies in the trimester will have their first period subject grade reduce by one letter grade(10%). Please refer to your Parent Handbook for more information on this policy.

  6. ABSENCE FROM SCHOOL • If it is necessary for your child to leave school early, please send a note in the morning so I am aware of this. Also, please notify the receptionist upon entering the school. • If your child will not be coming to school, please notify the office before 8:00 a.m.

  9. PARENT /TEACHER RELATIONSHIP • In order to achieve maximum success, a strong parent- teacher relationship is necessary. Throughout the year, I will communicate through e-mail, webpage, notes, telephone calls, letters and conferences. I encourage you to contact me with any questions or concerns also. You can email me at zebah@granadaschool.org or call the office (408-980-1161) and leave me a message.

  15. INCENTIVES • The students will be earning Class Points for being good listeners and effective workers. They have to work as a team to earn these class points. Once they earn 100 Class Points, they will have a party. • They will vote for the choice of party they would like, and we will rotate the choices. • Some choices are ice-cream party, popsicle party, popcorn party, pizza party, and extra recess.

  18. CLASSROOM RULES • There are many other rules that we follow in the school environment (ex; raising our hand to answer a question, walking in the hallway…) however, I chose to list a minimal amount of important items on the classroom rules so the list is not overwhelming to the students and accomplishing the list seems tangible.
