  6. Level 1. (1-2 marks) Gives on or two reasons why the Germans disliked the Treaty, but without detail. For example- One reason why the Germans hated theTreaty was they hd to pay reparations. Another reason was because they lost land. Level 2 (3-5 marks) Gives detailed information to illustrate each reason. For example– One reason why the Germans hated the Treaty was because they had to pay reparations adding upto £6600 million. Another reason was because Germany lost land . In all Germany lost about 13% of it’s European territory. Level 3 (6-7 marks) Explains why each reason was unpopular. For example- Paying the reperations of £6600 million meant that the German public would have to pay higher taxes and the government would have to cut spending for years to come. Level 4 (8 marks) Can explain links between the reasons. For example- The Germans didn’t like being blamed for the war. They thought this was unfair. But also this blame meant that they had to pay reparations which they also disliked. Level 1. (1-2 marks) Gives on or two reasons why the Germans disliked the Treaty, but without detail.
