  1. The Water Cycle By Michael Bonavita January 30, 2012

  2. Evaporation • Evaporation is when water gets heated up from the sun’s energy and it changes from a liquid to a gas and the gas is water vapor, it hen rises up into the atmosphere. • Evaporation is when the sun’s heat turns the water from oceans, lakes, and rivers ectand turns it into water vapor.

  3. Condensation • Condensation is when water vapor rises and collides with colder air to form ice crystals that condense and form water which become clouds. • Condensation happens by the water vapor gets cold, condenses and becomes a liquid again.

  4. Precipitation • Precipitation happens when water droplets from the clouds get heavy and the atmosphere can not hold them anymore so it falls back to the earth as rain, sleet, snow, hail or freezing rain depending on the temperature. • Precipitation happens when the liquid drooplets get too heavy for the atmosphere to hold so it falls back to the surface of the earth.

  5. Run Off • Run off is the extra water that does not soak into the ground and runs down hills into puddles, streams, rivers and lakes. Then finally makes itsway to the oceans which then makes the water cycle start over.
