Maui is wanted by Mahuika for his mischief in burning fingernails. After receiving a fingernail from Mahuika that generated fire, Maui repeatedly lost it in a river and returned for more, provoking Mahuika's ire. Frustrated, she retaliated by throwing fire at him, but Maui cleverly transformed into a Hawk to escape.   1. WANTED Reward:$10 (not a major crime) Mahuika gave Maui a fingernail which burnt to take home. Mischievous Maui dropped the fingernail into a river on the way home so went back for another fingernail which he was given. This repeated again and again until Mahuika lost her temper and threw fire at Maui escaped by turning into a Hawk and flying back to the living world. MAUI Wanted for: burning other people’s fingernails for no reason If found, call Mahuika at 555-1296 DEAD OR ALIVE
