Contributions to HL7 • Chapter 13 to v2.4 • Specifies Laboratory Automation • Introduced Specimen and Container (SAC) Segment • SAC has evolved into an SPM segment in ch. 7 • Order and Observation messages related to Specimen • In chapters 4, and 7 • Messages related to POC (3 new triggers) • CMETs for Specimen, Order Options, and Reagents in v3
