Experience with (P)PM&E • 7 years experience in capacity building & training • Capacity Building in (P)PM&E • Developing data capture instruments • Developing and Refining Performance Indicators • Providing technical backstopping in M&E • Arranging and supervising data collection exercises. • Managing the Project MIS

  3. Qualification • Masters of Business Administration (MIS) –MBA(MIS) • Bachelor of Statistics (Statistical computing and Development planning) – B.STAT(SC&DP)

  4. Broad Objective • …to improve the quality of life of children under six years together with the people who provide them the necessary care … more specifically • To create awareness in families and communities of children’s rights and needs. • To build the knowledge and skills of family so as to provide proper health care, appropriate child nutrition, early child development and protection • To increase skills and capacity of families and communities to mobiles resources and manage their own income generating activities, thereby enhancing their ability to care for children.

Strategies • Helping communities to organise services for children less than six (6) years, through growth monitoring and promotion and establishment of Early Childcare and Education (ECE) facilities. • Strengthening the capacity of families and communities through sensitisation, education and skills training on early childhood development, nutrition and training for savings and income generation.

  7. Strategies cont…. • Providing support to communities through community grants and incentives, including an Innovations Grant, which will respond to special local initiatives for children. • Supporting ongoing national programs that are related to the growth and development of children.

  8. Beneficiaries • the children who are under 6 years of age, • those who influence their growth and development on a day-to-day basis, such as their parents, community members & child caregivers..

  9. (P)PM&E Problem • identifying measurable and appropriate indicators, • improving of the methods used for data capture, analysis and reporting.

  10. What has been done • designing an MIS systems which is used in capture data at district level, • re-designed the different data capture instruments • organized a series of training sessions for the different stakeholders
