  1. National institute for coastal and marine management WP3 project team: Hans Klamer, Joop Bakker, Johan Åkerman, Kees van de Ven, Timen Top en Melissa van Hoorn (KenB) HARBASINS HARBASINS; HARmonised riverBASINS

  2. HARBASINS HARmonised riverBASINS Reason: Trans basin pollution HARBASINS; HARmonised riverBASINS

  3. HARBASINS HARmonised riverBASINS Reason: Trans basin pollution Unknown sources, sink routesandtransportof substances between river basins in the North Sea coastal zone of Great Brittan and Belgium to Denmark, sinking in Skagerrak. HARBASINS; HARmonised riverBASINS

  4. Aim To obtain harmonized and comparable information of compounds in each basin in sediments, suspended solids and surface water in the North Sea, between basins along the western (UK east coast) and eastern (EU mainland west coast) residual transport routes. HARBASINS; HARmonised riverBASINS

  5. Residual transport North Sea HARBASINS route

  6. National monitoring program: MWTL; locations spread over smallest WFD units; Wadden Sea and North Sea coastal zone to 12 nautical mile off-shore TMAP / JAMP Project aims: WFD aims Operational- Trend monitoring Responsibility shifting Current national monitoring strategy vs. Project aims HARBASINS; HARmonised riverBASINS

  7. Comparability of concentrations of compounds and shifting of responsibility between basins; To gain insight in impact of national strategies and policy i.r.t. concentrations of compounds by means of current and historical concentration measurements; Harmonized future embedding of WFD, in which comparability is possible because of uniform data gathering and treatment methods. Comparability of current, national strategies vs. necessity of new campaign HARBASINS; HARmonised riverBASINS

  8. Per river basin in the estuary itself and downstream in the North Sea. Choice of compounds: Brominated Flame Retardants (BFR); Metals; Phthalates (hot item); PCB (tracer); Dioxins/ DR CALUX ? nPAHs Field campaign HARBASINS HARBASINS; HARmonised riverBASINS

  9. To be filled in and to brainstorm on hampering aspects
