Doberman Pinschers- 21 • This dog was originated in Germany in the 1900's. • They were found so that it was used at a guardian and a companion. • As it was able to absorb the intelligence it was then trained to follow the orders of police and became a war dog too. • The Doberman Pinschers emerged from a short haired shepherd- dog combined with a Rottweiler , black and tan terrier and smooth-haired German Pinschers

  3. St. Bernard's~39 • Origin~ Swiss Alps around 1050 A.D. • Use~ They were first used for guard dogs and later used to rescue people. • Fun Facts~ A scientist named C. Keller was the first to breed the Saint Bernard from the Roman “Molossian” dog.

  20. Cairn Terriers It is part of the Terrier group. It has a weather-resisting coat. It originated in the islands and highlands of western Scotland.

  21. The Chinese Shar-Pei It was originally bread as a all purpose Chinese farm dog. The Chinese thought that because of the way he looked he could scare off evil spirits. It is part of the non-sporting group.

  22. Great Dane- 23 • The was found about 400 years ago. So resources say they we found in Medieval Boar hound in Germany. • This dog is elegant and distinguish. It is a dog used for show. • The Great Dane's name is the English translation of the breed name in French: grand Danois, meaning "big Danish."

  23. Siberian Huskies- 24 • The Siberian Husky was originated by the Chukchi people of northeastern Asia • This dog is mainly used for dog sledding. They have a lot of endurance in the snow. • The first team of Siberian Huskies made its appearance in the All Alaska Sweepstakes Race of 1909.

  24. Cavalier King Charles Spaniels- 25 • This dog was found in the England. It was popular in the United Kingdom. • This dog is usually a luxury item. It is an expensive dog to have. This dog a mainly a toy dog. • The Cavalier was featured on the hit HBO series, "Sex and the City", as Charlotte York's dog.
