  1. Introduction Location Tracker management system ensures substantial productivity, gains including greater efficiency of fleet operations, higher field workforce productivity, lower fleet operating costs and better customer service

  2. Features • Real Time Tracking • Online Alerts on exceeding the limits set for • various parameters like speed, route and time. • Reliable, Accurate and Cost Efficient. • Reports to analyze trip wise and vehicle wise • details like stoppage, over speed etc. • Easy to install and easy to use. • Scalable Solution. • Tamper Proof.

  3. Advantages • Wireless tracking system delivers detailed fleet • tracking. • Reduces time spent at unauthorized locations. • Allows monitoring of field staff or vehicles with • assurance and confidence. • Enhance customer service with up-to-the-minute • information and service. • Monitor safety of persons or goods in transit. • Extra peace-of-mind through real time ability to • track.

  4. Advantages • Value for investment. • Allows complete transparency in operation. • Ensure safety of vehicles and goods by monitoring • vehicle speed, driving patterns and location. • Historic vehicle data availability for fleet • performance analysis. • Monitor goods or field staff on move for maximum • efficiency.

  5. Phone Edition • Offline Version (GPS) • Online Version (GPS) • Tower Base

  6. Phone Edition • Phone Edition works with symbian based phone, which is loaded with Location Tracker software. The location details are periodically sent to a fixed number or stored in the mobile phone itself to project the route or location detail through the map.

  7. Phone Edition

  8. Online and Offline versions of Phone Edition • Online • In this version location details are sent to a • central location at regular intervals through • SMS. The data received can be viewed through • the web interface [Locationtracker.com], which • will facilitate the user to view the location. • Offline • In the offline version the details are stored in the • phone itself. Later on the stored data can be • down loaded to the desk top application to view • the location or route data through the map.

  9. Online version of Phone Edition

  10. Offline version of Phone Edition

  11. Components used in phone edition • Mobile phone based on symbiantechnology. • Location tracker software to be installed on the • mobile. • Data cable to connect with the pc in case of • offline data transfer. • Desk Top application which will project the • locations and route data from the data read • in case of offline version. • Locationtracker.comuser account to view the • details of locations received online.

  12. How the phone edition works? • Based on CellId, the name of the BTS is used to identify • the location of the mobile in which the Locationtracker • software is installed. • The location tracker software installed in the mobile will • send the location details at configurable intervals to a • central location or it can be stored into the mobile itself. • In the online version the data sent by the mobile • through SMS are received at the central location and the • data can be viewed through Locationtracker.com • On the other hand in offline version the data stored in the mobile phone can be downloaded to the pc and the route information can be viewed through a desktop application.

  13. Case Study: Field force tracking using Mobile Edition • The location tracker software loaded on the sales person’s mobile • will be capable of sending messages to a central server periodically or to store the details in the phone itself. • The mobile phone can be connected to the pc later to view details in case the details are stored in the phone. The details can be viewed on web-site or mobile phone if it is an online version. • Tracks the force anywhere any time. • Avoid detouring and false reporting. • Increases productivity by utilizing the maximum time of your sales force. • Plan deployment of force according to the accurate data available.

  14. Online GPS Edition • The online edition is a GPS based tracking system which is capable to send the location details to a centralized location, to facilitate online tracking of goods, vehicles or persons in transit.

  15. Online GPS Edition

  16. Components used in online edition • Location tracker device with GPS antenna. • In-built GSM modem to facilitate the data transfer • through SMS. • Location tracker device with GPS antenna. • Cellapps server software installed at central location • with GSM modem to receive the data online and to • update the locationtracker database. • Locationtracker.com access rights to view the • location or route data received online.

  17. How the online edition works? • The location details provided by the GPS antenna • will be sent through SMS with the help if in-built • GSM modem to a centralized location. • The cellapps application configured at centralized • location will receive the details and it will be • updated in the centralized database. • The web interface [locationtracker.com] will • facilitate the user to view the location or route • details through the map.

  18. Case Study: Track goods in transit using Online Edition • The Location Tracker device fitted in the vehicle sends the location, speed,fuel-tank pressure etc to the central server. The data can be viewed online through a web-application. • Suitable to avail real-time information, about the goods in transit like arms and ammunition in case of military and various other applications where online tracking is required. • Get online information about the goods in transit and thereby provide enhanced customer services. • Assure the safety of goods and the persons. • Get alerts on crossing the desired limits like frontiers, Speed Limit • Temperature of a refrigerated van. • All this helps to take right decision on right time by providing online • information of goods in transit.

  19. Offline GPS Edition • The offline edition is a GPS based tracking system which store the location details in the device itself for future analysis.

  20. Offline GPS Edition

  21. Components used in offline edition • Location tracker device with GPS antenna. • Data cable to connect to the pc to download the • data stored. • Desktop application to display the location or • route data based on the down loaded data.

  22. How the offline edition works? • The GPS antenna will collect the information like • date, time, altitude and longitude. The information • collected will be stored in the device itself. • Later the device can be connected to a desk top to • download the collected data. • The data downloaded can be viewed through the • desk top application which is capable of displaying • the location or route details with the help of a map.

  23. Case Study: Off line Edition in Fleet Management • The Location Tracker device fitted in the vehicle stores the details of locations and other parameters like speed, pressure in fuel tank etc during the trip. The location is identified through GPS antenna. • Later the Data stored in the device can be downloaded and will be analyzed for various purposes. • Identify route diversion took place. • Let you know about the fuel theft taken place in between by reporting the fuel tank pressure. • Get the over speeding reported and take the action against the driver. • Analyze the trip data to extend improved services to the customer.
