  14. Community Board of Advisors • Potentially large, persistent group representing thought leadership and key participants in the community at-large • Members would not necessarily hold official GGF positions (i.e. not necessarily GSFG members) • Small time commitment since responsibilities would mainly be to review and suggest ideas to influence the community structure, operation, activities, etc. • No formal meetings except possibly at major GGF events, i.e. interaction is primarily via e-mail • Balance between academic/research, industry, vendor and end-user, nontraditional Grid

  15. Overall Community Deliverables • Provide content for both GGF and non-GGF events to help end-users understand and use Grid technology • Provide content for both GGF and non-GGF events to help vendors understand GGF and GGF standards • Recruit/retain Community members • Establish international Community regions • Recruit thought leaders and key orgs • Build Voice-of-the-Community (VOC) groups across all key verticals • Use VOC documents to identify, prioritize end-user requirements and use cases • Establish close interaction with Standards Function to drive VOCs into the GGF standards process • Make VOCs documents easily/readily available • Establish Vendor Adoption Forum (VAF) to champion efforts to make GGF standards valuable for software suppliers & developers to adopt • Use VAF to drive GGF standards adoption
