Packing List • 2 Xerox copies of your passport information page, and Chinese visa (pack in different bags) • PeptoBismol tablets • Cold/fever medicine • A copy of your glasses prescription (if applicable) • Deodorant that you like • Any prescription drugs you need • Summer clothing, plus a pair of pants and a jacket • One set of business casual clothing • Gifts from America

Bringing Enough Money • It is generally recommended that students do not open a bank account when arriving in China. • There are conveniently located banks where non-account-holders can exchange USD into RMB, cash traveler's checks in RMB, and withdraw RMB from a US checking account via a Chinese ATM. • If you consistently eat local food, summer food costs will be about $500.00 USD • Students should bring up to $250 in cash and the remainder available in traveler's checks or in a US checking account with an ATM card.
