Power PC

The PowerPC, a processor developed by the IBM, Apple, and Motorola alliance, is designed for symmetric multiprocessing systems with enhanced RISC technology. Known for executing multiple instructions simultaneously with simple RISC instructions, fast instruction decoding, and support for various operating systems like AIX, Power Open, OS/2, Pink, Solaris, and System 7. The PowerPC family includes MPC 601 for desktops, MPC 603 for notebooks offering low power consumption, and MPC 604 with greater parallelism and pipeline. The MPC 620 features 64-bit address and data buses with multiple parallelism levels. Ideal for personal computing and applications like Kodak Digital Cameras.

  1. Power PC • Procesador creado con la alianza de IBM, Apple y Motorola POWER = • Performance • Optimized • With • Enhanced • RISC

  2. Características principales • Diseñado para sistemas de multiproceso simétrico • Tecnología RISC • Soporta diversos sistemas operativos

  3. Multiproceso simétrico • Se ejecutan varias instrucciones al mismo tiempo

  8. Aplicaciones • Computadora personal • Cámara Digital Kodax
