Social Studies • New Jersey • Four Units • Unit 1: New Jersey’s Land and Early People • Unit 2: Exploration to Early Statehood • Unit 3: Progress as a State • Unit 4: New Jersey Today • Structure • First half of each marking period is Social Studies. • Second half will be Science. • Assessment: • Packets, Study Guides, Quizzes, Tests

Grading Percentages • Formative Assessments: 20% • homework, participation, class work • Interim Assessments: 35% • quizzes, small projects, minor writing assignments • Summative Assessments: 45% • tests, large projects, major writing assignments • Powerschool is updated at least once a week. Assignments will be coming home on Fridays for you to review and sign. Feel free to email me with any questions or concerns.
