  40. FAQ • 1. Why v2? • In effort to consolidate number of vendors, the wg302 and wag302 are now manufactured by a different vendor of Netgear. • 2. What about support of v1? • We have continuing support agreement with the original vendor of v1. Bugs will still be fixed but no new feature will be added to v1. • 3. What are the differences between v1 and v2? • Feature: same features between v1 and v2. V2 added support of Spectra link and untagged VLAN. • Firmware: now both wag302 and wg302 will use the same firmware image. When the access point boot up, it will detect the unit’s model and bring up the correct code. • 4. What about AutoCell? • We have removed AutoCell from wg302 and wag302. We are only supporting AutoCell on wg102.

  41. Known issues • At initial release: • Throughput of v2 is below v1 (Fixed by v5.0.48). • Does not support Day light saving time. (Added in v5.0.48). • Does not support ACL using RADIUS (Added in v5.0.48). • DHCP server must be enabled for Hotspot feature to work. • WDS throughput is slower than v1 (To be fixed).
