  7. Summary of monitoring visits • Altogether in testing classes 328 participants and in ECTS 118 participants took part in classes observed by Lucie Betakova.

  8. Feedback from monitoring testing units • Very good classes where taught by teachers involved in the project. Less successful when teachers did not have the project expertise. • Target audience should be well chosen. The courses have to be taught by teachers and future teachers of English who will need expertise in testing and already have the TEFL background.

  9. Feedback from monitoring testing modules • Aims should be carefully thought through – teach only what will actually be needed by practising teachers at schools, do not teach more theory that would be useful for test designers, evaluators or PhD. students. • Practical activities best, concentrate on tasks –doing tests, preparing tests, evaluating tests. These activities bring best results when connected with theory. Theory itself is not enough.

  10. Feedback from monitoring ECTS module • There is very little known about it in Russian universities among teachers. It is considered a very important issue, though. To undersatnd the process it is needed to involve practical tasks and give the participants opporunity to tune their own courses according to ECTS. The best task would be to take a course taught by particular teacher and tune it according to ECTS. Theory is not enough.

  11. Feedback from monitoring ECTS module • Well chosen target audience. The best audience are university teachers and staff. Not useful for teachers in schools. For university students use only limited content connected with their mobility. • Courses should be taught by people with some experience of ECTS. Without proper understanding the course cannot be delivered even if very well prepared.
