  1. Supporting a green Environment by making use of sustainable Products and Materials There is a much greater awareness among people and industries today of the importance of looking after the earth and our environment than was the case many - even a few – years ago. One industry that is taking this to heart is the building industry, architects, engineers, builders and and their assistants are now more aware of the importance of using sustainable construction materials. These materials are mostly those produced from previously used materials as opposed to materials which are made from natural resources which have not been used before. It refers, in essence, to recycled materials which are produced as a result of removing, or remediating, usable parts of material from old constructions. When old buildings, or pavements, air field strips, roads and other constructions are torn down or lifted because they have served their purpose, the materials are recycled and put to use again. Therefore a great industry has sprung up to ensure that the building industry, for example, has access to these sustainable construction materials to aid the new wave of awareness to concentrate on the use of recycled and environmentally friendly construction materials and practices. Some companies are specifically in business to produce these materials for the benefit of the industry – and of course individual companies that can use these materials in their own construction, whether you do so in a new build project or renovate a building – even your own home.

  2. Because the industry has caught on in its awareness, it is now much more apparent than ever in the past that companies that produce these products have become popular for all in the building industry, because the use of sustainable construction materials- such as recycled materials - has many advantages over and above the fact that it aids towards the ideals of a green earth and sustainable living and building practices. It saves on cost, which is for many a very important factor, since sustainable, recycled materials are often offered at a fraction of the cost that new materials come at. Also, these materials are now much more available than ever before, since more and more builders and those from the construction industry are starting to look at these as the sensible option. Not only are sustainable construction materials easier to find than ever before, there are also more companies producing them, which means the buyer has a greater choice than in the past. The good producers of these materials make sure they stay abreast of what’s happening in the building industry and therefore they know the latest, most advanced methods and techniques to provide the best materials to their clients. They are also in a position to not only produce these materials, but some of them are actually willing to deliver to the client’s site or premises, saving them further on transport costs. There are various examples of these sustainable construction materials to choose from, and most good suppliers are well placed to offer advice to the client that still needs some information in order to make a good decision.

  3. The most popular among these materials tend to be construction aggregate and asphalt. Depending on one’s needs, these materials include different mixes of solids and liquid materials such as sand, crushed stone, gravel, cobblestone and asphalts. These materials are created at the supplier’s plant or premises where crushers and mixers are used to come up with the desired product, all of it under the strictest supervision and according to the correct materials and combinations. Sustainable construction materialsare used underdifferent circumstances by different clients, and therefore the type of material that one needs will be discussed with the supplier, and of course the engineer and those with the appropriate knowledge about the best materials for one’s requirements. The builder who is building a house may use different materials compared to the company responsible for a new road, but they have the choices and will be able to find the best for their circumstances. At OCL Regeneration we create recycled materials for use by the building industry throughout England. Our recycled products are high quality and environmentally sustainable. Our clients include builders, structural and civil engineers, utility providers and contractors, the waste and landfill sector, road construction and surfacing contractors and those professionals who work in the field of land remediation.
