  1. Debunking Energy Efficient Ceiling Fan Myths ********************************************* Ceiling fans are the primary cooling appliances in every home. Ceiling fans may seem to be a familiar concept, but people do carry misconceptions about ceiling fans like everything else. Let us read below a few myths that people have about BLDC fans in India. BLDC Ceiling Fans are not reliable This is not true. BLDC ceiling fans have equal reliability to any other regular ceiling fan. The ceiling fan manufacturer claims that there are no complaints of motor-coil burning for years. The only failure a BLDC Fan would face is electronics which can be replaced. It is the BLDC fans, when kept at a lower speed that consumes less power than regular fans. The efficiency decreases with time As the life of a ceiling fan increases, the efficiency relatively decreases. This is because of the usage of mechanical parts like bearings and other electrical components. But with BLDC ceiling fans, the power consumption may increase about 10% with the fan's life. Efficient fans deliver less air Superfans with BLDC motor has the same 230 CMM as any other that consumes only 35 W. This is a pure myth. The fact is that the efficiency of the fan shows how well it is in delivering cool air. If it is given five stars rated, it means it moves more air. The ceiling fan manufacturersalways mention the airflow and the energy rating on the label of the fan.

  2. Ceiling fans are useless if you have AC at home Using a ceiling fan can benefit while using an AC. If you set the AC at a 27-degree setting and use a BLDC ceiling fan at the speed step 2, the comfort will be the same as the 24-AC temperature setting. Using aBLDC fan is that the ceiling provides a cooling phenomenon whilst a regular ceiling fan will provide the same breeze but heat the motor immediately to reduce the cooling environment. With a BLDC fan, it does not heat and also consumes 60% less power. Large motors are efficient There is another common myth about using large motors. Motor size does not determine the capacity and efficiency of delivering air. The power-driven should be less than the output. Sometimes compact motors are more potent than large motors. To this, we can conclude that the size does not matter. It is the efficiency of the motor.
