Surveillance Project Timeline • Nov’05—Started community outreach and fundraising with South Dallas Trust Fund (SDTF) and private sources • Feb’06–Nov’06—Researched solutions • Dec.’06–May‘07—Negotiated contracts with DPD, SDTF, Private $,TXU Utilities & City of Dallas • June’07—Signed agreement with Bearcom (integrator) & began deployment • Sept 2007—Launched the system

  8. The Dallas PD started seeing success from the system just days after the installation, when a drug deal was caught on video during Bearcom's training session for the officers.

What’s Next for Jubilee? • Expand surveillance system • 7-10 additional cameras • $6 million donation from Boone Pickens • New Jubilee Park Resource Center • 7 police officers, case worker, 3 prosecutors • New Jubilee Community Center • Fulfill demand for affordable housing • Advise other neighborhoods in Dallas
