  1. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A CHRISTIAN? “Agrippa replied to Paul, ‘In a short time you will persuade me to become a Christian’” (Acts 26:28).

  2. To be, or not to be – A Christian • Agrippa knew the truth, but never responded. • Safe, lost, saved – what do these mean. • There is a time to commit – to be baptized. • When one believes, repents and confesses.

  3. Preparing For The Future • Mark 8:36-37; Heb. 9:27 • Physical, mental preparation. • Social preparation. • How about spiritual preparation for eternity?

  4. Using Self and Talents for God • Indecision, doubt, aimless drifting plague our life. • Too much of life is pointless. • We need and get direction. • I Cor. 10:31; John 15:5

  5. We’ve “Crossed Over” • Baptism is the point of no return. • Agrippa, the rich, young ruler and many others didn’t. • From “lovers of God” to “Children of God”. • Col. 1:12-13 • NOW you are a Christian. • Eph. 4:1 – “Walk worthy of the calling…”

  6. It Means Surrender – in one sense • Old allegiances are gone. • Heb. 12:1 – “Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily besets us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us…” • Previous religious affiliations, friends or business associates who lead in wrong way.

  7. A Realization That We Were Lost • Rom. 3:23 • There’s always a way out. Not always. • Acknowledge we can’t save ourselves. • A constant dealing with our weaknesses and faults.

  8. A Pledge • To live like the Christ. • I Peter 2:21 Acts 1:1 • Phil 2:4-5

  9. Blessed Assurance • Not a “guarantee”, but assurance. • I John 3:1-2 • I John 4:18. • Know the “steps”. Obey them. • I Cor. 15:58
