  2. Canada Express Entry Visa If you wish to immigrate to Canada, what you need is a Canada Express Entry Visa. WHAT IS EXPRESS ENTRY? Express Entry is not only the fastest but is also the most popular pathway for immigrants to obtain permanent residency wanting to start a new life in Canada. The country welcomes around 110,000 skilled workers through such an effective system each year. Express Entry is an electronic system that is used to manage skilled workers’ applications who are looking to become Canadian permanent residents. Express Entry manages three main federal economic programs, including: 1. Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) 2. Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) 3. Canadian Experience Class (CEC) 2

  3. Once an online profile is submitted by the interested candidate, the Canadian federal government determines if the candidate is eligible for a program managed by Express Entry. Those candidates who meet the eligibility requirements are accepted into the Express Entry pool and they are ranked according to the CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System). The CRS is a points-based system, which is used by the Canadian government to evaluate and rank applicants in the Express Entry pool. The CRS score is calculated based on several factors, including: Age Work Experience Education Language Proficiency And more! KEY FEATURES OF THE EXPRESS ENTRY SYSTEM The following are the key features of Express Entry: It is an online program that is open throughout the year with no cap on candidates You must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) and provide an application through any category of job specified in 0, A, or B Skill Levels This program is applicable for federal skilled workers, federal skilled trades, and Canadian experience class programs Your profile evaluation will be based on the points score after which you will be admitted to the applicant pool 3

  4. Employers as well as provinces in the country will access this pool and identify what talents meet their diverse requirements The applicants in the pool with the highest points are offered an ITA for Canada PR Visa The number of ITAs, which is offered, is determined by the Yearly Immigration Level. HOW DOES THE EXPRESS ENTRY SYSTEM WORK? The major steps involved in the application process for Canada Express Entry Visa throughthis program are mentioned below: Complete Your Profile The process of obtaining the visa begins with the filling out of the digital Express Entry form by providing vital documents about education, experience, and other personal documents. Express Entry Pool After the candidate’s application is accepted into the pool, the candidate is provided with a Job Seeker Validation Code as well as Express Entry Profile Number. These will help the candidate create their resume in the Canada Job Bank. Invitation to Apply Upon obtaining the Express Entry Points corresponding to the Canada Immigration Draw, the candidates are chosen by Citizenship and Immigration Canada for being offered the Invite to Apply. 4

  5. WHAT ARE THE TYPES OF CANADA EXPRESS ENTRY PROGRAMS? Since there are diverse levels of skilled workers, the Canadian Government designed three programs within Express Entry. These programs are otherwise called economic immigration programs because they draw skilled workers’ attention, which not only boosts but develops Canada’s economy. These programs include: Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) The Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) is designed for all skilled workers having foreign work experience for immigrating to Canada. It requires a high level of English, or French language proficiency (level 7). Lastly, it requires 12 months of work experience in the specific occupation within the last 10 years. 5

It requires a Level 4 or 5 of language proficiency in English or French, and an occupation that falls into the technical jobs, which require a college diploma or apprenticeship. They also require 2 years of work experience within the last 5 years. In addition, those who apply for a Canada Express Entry Visa through this program are required to have a valid job offer from a company in Canada. Also, they require a certificate proving that they possess a high level of skill in the trade. They are required to have a Level 5 or 7 in language proficiency (English or French). In addition, they should have an occupation falling into management jobs, professional jobs, or technical jobs.
