  2. Opportunities For Young People • In Australia, there are many opportunities for young people. There are sports for kids, jobs for young adults and universities. In school young people learn all of the basics for their adult life.

  3. The People • The people in Australia are very friendly and down to earth. Australia is very multicultural so there are people who come from many countries around the world, such as Vietnam, America, China, Japan, Italy and many more.

  4. The Landscape • In Australia there are many types of landscapes. Towards the inland it becomes more desert like and towards the coasts it becomes more fertile. There are mountain ranges including the Great Dividing Range which runs down the East coast. There are also a number of rivers that run from the mountain to the coast.

  5. The Towns And Cities • In Australia there are many towns and cities some of which are Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perthand Hobart. Most people in Australia live in cities. There are towns all across the country, such as Avoca Beach, Kirra, Tweed Heads, Orange and Devonport.

  6. Native Fauna • In Australia there are many native animals including wallabies, kangaroos, kookaburras, cockatoos, echidna, platypus, bilbies and emus. Some of these native animals are endangered because of disease such as the Tasmanian Devil and others because of feral animals.

  7. Native Flora • In Australia there are many types of plants native to our country such as the bottlebrush, wattle, gum trees, lillipilli, waratahand kangaroo paw. Some of these plants attract different birds and insects.

  8. The Government • The Government in Australia is very democratic and fair. They allow any person in the country to vote if you are 18 or over. They have an election every 4 years if you want a different leader of the country. The current leader of Australia is Prime Minister Kevin Rudd .

  9. The Weather • The weather in Australia varies for each season. For example, Summer is the hottest season reaching temperatures of about 40 degrees in the midland. Winter is the coldest season reaching about 0 degrees in the mountains of Tasmania.

  10. The Education • In Australia there are many opportunities for education, such as schools, colleges and universities. At school, children learn the basics for their future life. At university young adults can study to become lawyers or architects or what ever they want to do when they get a bit older. At colleges, people can learn a trade like hairdressing, cooking, mechanic or builder.
