Description: Heat that is transmitted through space and is not carried by matter or Heat radiation is called infrared radiation (describing radiation). Additional Information: • Heat moves from matter at a higher temperature to matter at a lower temperature. • Convection currents are the movements of the material (fluid) such as breezes or air circulation in a heated room or over warm bodies of water or material in Earth’s mantle. • Infrared and X-rays are electromagnetic waves.
