Intro to Repaso C • Turn to page R22 in your textbook. • You are going to build your own vocabulary list with words on pages R22-R27. • Divide your paper into four different sections. • Categorize the words into 4 GROUPS: • Personality • Health • General Well-Being • Parts of the Body • Your lists do not have to only be comprised of words on page R22. You may look throughout the chapter to find words to include.

  6. Las Farsas • We are now going to play charades with your new vocabulary words. • We will split into 2 teams: Team A and Team B. • One at a time, I will give you a word. You will come up with a charade or draw a picture to convey the meaning of the word. • Your group will have 20 seconds to guess the meaning of your vocabulary word and gain points for the team. • After 15seconds, you will hear a buzzer and the vocabulary word will be revealed, but no points will be given to your team.

  7. Ser vs. Estar: How to choose the verb “TO Be” • Many of you may think that it’s easy. SER are “permanent” things, and ESTAR are “temporary” things. While this is correct in a couple of cases, it really isn’t correct for a bunch of others.

  8. Ser vs. EstarThe verbs ser and estar both mean to be. Ser Estar Estar is used to tell where someone or something is located. It is also used to describe a temporary state or condition. It is also used to describe an inherent trait or characteristic. • Roberto es de Miami. • Alana esinteligenteybonita.
