  1. CUDA SESSIONS YOU WON’T WANT TO MISS AT GTC 2019

  2. EXPECTED TO BE THE BIGGEST YET, NVIDIA’S GPU TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE (GTC) FEATURES HUNDREDS OF SESSIONS ON THE MOST IMPORTANT TOPICS IN COMPUTING TODAY.

  3. CHECK OUT THESE SESSIONS TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE LATEST DEVELOPMENTS IN THE CUDA ECOSYSTEM.

  4. CUDA: NEW FEATURES AND BEYOND CUDA is NVIDIA's parallel computing platform and programming model. You'll learn about new programming model enhancements and performance improvements in the latest release of CUDA, preview upcoming GPU programming technology, and gain insight into the philosophy driving the development of CUDA and how it will take advantage of current and future GPUs. You'll also learn about NVIDIA's vision for CUDA and the challenges for the future of parallel software development. ADD TO MY SCHEDULE

  5. VOLTA & TURING: ARCHITECTURE AND PERFORMANCE OPTIMIZATION The presentation will go through NVIDIA's current GPU architectures, Volta and Turing, to allow the developers understand both architectures and how to best optimize their code for them. This is a follow-up of GTC'18 S81006 which covered Volta and CUDA optimization basics. This talk will likely skip some of the basics already covered last year and should feature more advanced topics. Full content to be defined. ADD TO MY SCHEDULE

  6. ACCELERATE YOUR CUDA DEVELOPMENT WITH LATEST DEBUGGING AND CODE ANALYSIS DEVELOPER TOOLS We will provide an overview of debugging and performance analysis CUDA software tools that would be required during any development process. We'll talk about specific areas in the development process that NVIDIA addresses to ensure that a comprehensive set of development tools are available to ensure completion of software application development. ADD TO MY SCHEDULE

  7. NEW FFT LIBRARY WITH FLEXIBLE C++ API We will introduce a new FFT library that extends and complements cuFFT. This new library allows to go beyond performance limits imposed by the current cuFFT API. During our talk, we will walk through new API concepts, showcase performance, and discuss planned future developments. Specifically, the new library aims to provide performance and flexibility improvements by allowing the merging of FFT calculations with other code at convenient levels of abstraction. ADD TO MY SCHEDULE

  8. cuDF: RAPIDS GPU-ACCELERATED DATA FRAME LIBRARY Learn how NVIDIA and RAPIDS take advantage of GPU acceleration by using libraries such as cuDF, cuIO, and cuString. We'll show how RAPIDS uses GPUs to accelerate existing workflows and enable workflows that were previously impossible. We'll cover cuDF's high-level architecture and its GPU use, and do a technical dive into cuDF internals such as the cuIO and cuString libraries. We'll also share testing and benchmarking results and reveal some of the new features and optimizations we're investigating for the future of RAPIDS and cuDF. ADD TO MY SCHEDULE

  9. BRING STATE-OF-THE-ART GPU-ACCELERATED MOLECULAR MODELING TOOLS TO THE RESEARCH COMMUNITY We'll showcase the latest successes with GPU acceleration of challenging molecular simulation analysis tasks on the latest Volta and Turing GPUs paired with both Intel and IBM/OpenPOWER CPUs on petascale computers such as ORNL Summit. This presentation will highlight the performance benefits obtained from die-stacked memory, NVLink interconnects, and the use of advanced features of CUDA such as just-in-time compilation to increase the performance of key analysis algorithms. ADD TO MY SCHEDULE

  10. CUDA-ACCELERATED SHORT-READ ALIGNMENT TO A LARGE REFERENCE GENOME We'll discuss the computational challenge of aligning short DNA reads to very large reference genomes, a problem that tests the limits of computing hardware. We'll explain how adapting a CUDA-accelerated short-read aligner to handle these genomes resulted in a tenfold reduction in execution time. ADD TO MY SCHEDULE

  11. ASTROACCELERATE - GPU ENABLED SIGNAL PROCESSING ON THE PATH TO THE SQUARE KILOMETRE ARRAY The Square Kilometre Array is a planned next- generation radio telescope. This talk will introduce SKA and the science it aims to achieve and discuss how GPUs can be used to achieve this. We'll discuss current advances in the AstroAccelerate software package, which is GPU-Enabled and written in CUDA. AstroAccelerate focuses on enabling real-time processing of time-domain radio-astronomy data. ADD TO MY SCHEDULE

  12. AMBER18: AN ENHANCED MOLECULAR SIMULATIONS PROGRAM FOR STUDYING BIOPOLYMERS AND DISSECTING LIGAND BINDING ENERGIES We'll discuss advanced implementations of molecular dynamics for studying the motions of biochemical systems and dissecting free energies in drug binding and molecular recognition. Attendees should have basic knowledge of CUDA. We'll focus on strategies for parallelism based on the computer science of how graphics cards operate. We'll also talk about the results for applications in pharmaceutical and academic computational biology. ADD TO MY SCHEDULE

  13. OPTIMIZING FACEBOOK AI WORKLOADS FOR NVIDIA GPUS We'll demonstrate the use of Nsight Systems to quickly identify bottlenecks and achieve significant speedups in production workflows at Facebook. We'll also describe how we use the CUPTI API for on-demand, customized timeline analysis of workflows running in production and collect detailed performance metrics across our GPU fleet at very low overhead.
