  8. 2 Data Scientists: Successful Businesses are Powered By AI The AI revolution has arrived. Companies are racing to deliver AI capabilities that make sense of the massive influx of data created in the last several years. But cracking the AI nut is difficult. The technical requirements, resources and expertise needed to deliver AI are enormous ... But as intelligence becomes the new currency in business, it is vital that these barriers be knocked down and that the power of AI reaches the hands of employees … Explore HERE on how AI can accelerate your analytics for digital business READ MORE The Huffington Post Article 8

  9. 3 OpenAI Teaching AI to Speak Like Humans Through Reddit Researchers at Musk’s San Francisco lab are using the news aggregation and discussion site to increase the bank of content available for the AI to study. In a press release, OpenAI research scientist Andrej Karpathy said they are “[training] on entire years of conversations of people talking to each other on all of Reddit.” Scientists love the site for the access it provides to large numbers of colloquial conversations. Its nearly 900,000 subreddit communities comprise a range of topics from r/science to r/DogsStandingUp. READ MORE Keep up HERE with the latest Deep Learning and AI News QUARTZ Article 9

  10. 4 Microsoft Accelerating Data Science at The Alan Turing Institute Microsoft is excited to be empowering researchers at The Alan Turing Institute to achieve more by awarding $5 million in Microsoft Azure cloud computing credits. The Turing is the U.K.’s national center for data science. “More than 100 research staff — ranging from computer scientists, engineers and experts in machine learning to statisticians, mathematicians and social scientists — will soon begin work at The Alan Turing Institute with the mission to advance the world- changing potential of data science,” said Andrew Blake, the Institute’s Director. 11. 5 Researchers are Tackling Ebola with GPUs A team of researchers from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Stanford University are using the Blue Waters supercomputer at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) to predict what antibody would most likely pair best with a protein that coats a virus. Using CUDA and the NVIDIA Tesla accelerators in the supercomputer, the researchers simulated the evolution of the Ebola virus and the most likely mutations of antibody that would combat that evolution.
