  1. Summary A simple understanding of essential fatty acids and what is cholesterol and how to reduce cholesterol with foods and their sources.

  2. How oils help reduce cholesterol The body can synthesize most of the fats it needs from the diet. However, essential fatty acids cannot be synthesized in the body and must be obtained from food.

  3. These basic fats, found in plant and animal foods, are used to build specialized fats called omega-3. Omega-3 is important in the normal functioning of all tissues of the body.

  4. Foods rich in essential fatty acids and other vital nutrients are healthy foods. The biggest source of omega 3 fatty acids which comprise of sea fish such as tuna, sardines, cod fish, salmon and halibut and also other sea foods like crab, lobsters.
