  11. Calendar: 1st Week Schedule • Monday, August 20 = 1st Day at USC Upstate for Sophomores & Freshmen! • Tuesday, August 21 = First Day for Seniors & Juniors • College Classes begin August 23.

  13. Calendar 1st Semester • College Fall Break October 18-19: No college classes. • Community Service October 18 • SA Teacher WorkDay October 19 No classes at Upstate!

  14. Calendar 1st Semester • Friday, October 26 Teacher Workday at your school Report to ALL classes at USC Upstate. No buses.

  15. Calendar 1st Semester • Dec. 7 College classes end. • Dec. 10-14 College exams. • Dec. 20 Last Day at USC Upstate (9th & 10th Grade) • Dec. 21 Do not report to USC Upstate.

  16. Calendar 2nd Semester • Jan. 7 Scholars grades 9-11 report to USC Upstate • Jan.14 College classes begin. • Jan. 21 Holiday • Feb. 15 Teacher In-service Day: College classes will meet! No buses. • March 15 Teacher In-service Day: No College or high school classes.

  17. Calendar 2nd Semester • March 11-15 College Spring Break • March 11-13 All grades 9-11 report to USC Upstate for honors & AP classes only. • March 14 Community Service Day—All Scholars report to USC Upstate • March 15 No Scholars report to USC Upstate. Teacher In-service Day at your school.

  18. Calendar 2nd Semester • April 1-5 Spartanburg County Spring Break • FRESHMEN: Attend college science lectures & labs at USC Upstate. • Grades 10-12: Attend all college and AP classes at USC Upstate. • No BUSES!

  38. Driving Policy All seniors & juniors with 8 am or afternoon classes are permitted to drive to and park on campus during Academy hours on regular school days. --one-day parking permit for Teacher Workdays and Spring Break Page 12

  41. Inclement Weather If your home school closes due to inclement weather, you are not expected to report to USC Upstate but should notify your college professors of the reason for your absence. If all Spartanburg County School Districts close due to inclement weather, the Scholars Academy will close as well. If your home school is delayed opening due to inclement weather, you will report to the Scholars Academy late per your school’s schedule. If the University closes due to inclement weather, the Scholars Academy will be closed as well. Page 15
