  3. THE MISSING WING Inequality retards not only the advancement of women but the progress of civilization itself. The Bird of Humanity can not take flight with a missing wing……….

  4. The Missing Wing US Congress – 16.8% (90) Senate – 17.0% (17/90) House – 16.8% (73/90) Statewide Elected Executives - 22.9% (72/315) Statewide Elective Offices – 24.3% (1797/7382) Senate – 22.1% House – 25.2%

  5. The missing Wing Women make up 10% of Board of Directors of publicly held companies 14.7% of Board seats on Fortune 500 companies are held by women Women are grossly under represented in the business and corporate leadership

  6. THE MISSING WING The Gap in Higher Education Percentage of women college presidents grew from 10% in 1986 to 26% in 2006 -- (community colleges accounted for most of the growth)

  7. Only when women become full participants in all domains of life will humanity be prepared to embark on the next stage of its collective development
