Introduction • As part of encouraging Government in East Asia WPRO piloted workshop on HWTS in Philippines (2009), Viet Nam (2010) and Cambodia (2011). • This manual is result of those initiatives for use for other regions. • Target for government officials with view that training workshop can be one for the national plan to support.

  3. Content Manual covers • Introduction or HWTS • Planning, preparation and design of workshop • Five modules and nine lesson plans and and nine lesson plans • Four appendices ( supporting materials)

  4. Design: Modules • Module 1: Introduction to HWTS • Module 2: Water contamination and HWTS options • Module 3: Implementation of HWTS • Module 4: Assessing the impacts of HWTS • Module 5: The role of government in HWTS

  5. Agenda Agenda for 4 days workshop • Day1 : Opening, background information and Introduction to HWTS(M1) • Day 2: HWTS Options(M2) • Day 3: Implementation of HWTS(M3) and Impact assessment (M4) • Day 4: Role of Government(M5) and closing
