  1. Kuchipudi Kuchipudi is one of the eight major classical dance forms of India, and its roots derive from the cultural traditions of Andhra Pradesh. This highly stylized dance form is marked by the elegance of its movements, detailed examples of abhinaya (dynamic facial expressions), complex and virtuosic footwork, and imaginative hand gestures (mudras). Kuchipudi exemplifies the fusion of three artforms: dancing, music, and Natyam (theatrical storytelling). Kuchipudi was originally performed as dance-dramas where dancers used singing and acting to illustrate part of India's rich cultural heritage in the interpretive histories of the Ramayana, Mahabharata, Natyashastra or Bhagavatam. This established cultural form of dance is recognized chiefly by the fluidity of limbs when dancers move, and the facial expressions associated with the dancers' capacity to express their will in acts of abhinaya, and indeed the footwork can be complex and expressive. Kuchipudi is deeply rooted in the Natya Shastra, a dance form that conveys the spirit of many centuries of Indian cultural and spiritual expression. It is truly a worship service and a devotion. At Nrityangana, we are ever-committed to promoting and perpetuating Kuchipudi by educating as many people as we can through responsible instruction and progressive study. In our classes, we strive to engage every student with a sense of discipline,
