  1. Virender Sehwag Applauds Ambati Rayudu for 27-ball 72 Virender Sehwag has his own style when it comes to praising players. On Saturday, after Chennai Super Kings (CSK)’s Ambati Rayudu played a blistering inning of 72 from 27 balls, he applauded the middle- order batsman. Rayudu had smacked at a strike rate of 266, even at a better rate than Keiron Pollard, who single-handedly took Mumbai Indians to a win on the final-ball thrilelr. Praising the swashbuckling knock, Sehwag wrote on Twitter, “72 of 27. Sab ulta hai in 3D mode. The 3D glasses he ordered worked like how. Absolutely brilliant hitting from Rayudu. Chennai Romba Nalla this season. #CSKvMI.” However, the tweet went viral in no time as fans vividly remembered the time when Rayudu had expressed his thoughts on not selecting for the team for 2019 World Cup. In place of him, all-rounder Vijay Shankar was picked, and was called as a ‘three dimensional’ player at that time too.

  2. “Just Ordered a new set of 3d glasses to watch the world cup,” Rayudu had tweeted at that time. During his knock of 72, which steered CSK to 218, Rayudu successfully took on every Mumbai Indians’ bowler. But his stormy knock was overshadowed by Pollard who also displayed another fine knock to take Mumbai to a nail-biting win. He smashed 87 from just 34 balls to reach the target on the final ball of the match. He smashed eight sixes and six fours as well. However, after the first innings, Moeen Ali, who also scored a quickfire fifty, said: “We played well, assessed the conditions early and played to our strengths. With the batsmen (and the depth) we have, it's important to keep going, it was important to keep partnerships building. He (Rayudu) played an amazing knock, which situation was a bit tricky for us, but then he played superbly, and has been an important member of the team. They (MI) have some special players, we need to be humble and bowl as a unit.” Follow Cricadium Stats, Latest Cricket News, Live Cricket Score and Match Prediction stay updated with all the cricketing roster, records, history & action.
