  2. An Insight into Green House Gas The International Panel on Climate Change has warned that green house gas emissions must be cut to avoid the dangerous effects of global warming. But do we really follow IPCC? Not right? Want to join hands with IPCC? Use less energy and find alternative energy sources. One of the alternatives is using solar panel which is sustainable and never run out. They are also seen as “green” energies, because they don’t directly produce green house gases.

Mono-crystalline Solar Panels • Mono-crystalline panels are the most efficient one because they are made of highest grade of silicon and require least amount of roof space. • They generate the highest power output. It have a return electricity rate of 14% to 18%. • At the same time, it is more expensive compared to other solar panels.

Polycrystalline Solar Panels • Polycrystalline solar panels are less efficient than mono-crystalline as they are formed by placing liquid silicone resulting into an ingot. • They have an electricity return rate of about 12% to 14% and are less efficient than mono-crystalline. • Polycrystalline are cheapest solar panels and require low maintenance. The best part about polycrystalline is its durability i.e. it lasts for 25 years or longer.

  6. Amorphous Solar Panels • Amorphous solar panels come in a film which is deposited on substrates such as metal, glass and plastic. This type is relatively new to the market. • It has the lowest electricity return rate of between 5% - 6%. • They are cheap but its installation is expensive. This type is best suited for residential buildings as they are largely unaffected by weather conditions or higher temperatures.
