  19. How Did The Civil War Affect Americas Future? The civil war affected me in many ways. If the civil war didn’t occur then there might still be slavery. Also if the civil war didn’t happen then states would be able to leave any time that they wanted to. In the end I am glad that the civil war happened and that the union won the war.

If it didn’t happen then there might still be slavery and states could decide to leave.
