  1. F.A.S.T interaction

  2. Analyze the following conversation using T.A.

  3. PENNY: “We’ve got enough cars on the lot now to make it the rest of today and tomorrow. No need to call around to see if other Wheels units want to unload some of their inventory on us.”

  4. ARMANDO: “Penny, we’re short on both sub-compact & full-size right now. You know that. Call Wheels in Victoria and Galveston & see if they can help us out.”

  5. RYAN: Armando, I agree with Penny. Tomorrow is Saturday when rentals are usually slow. Besides I’m behind a little on maintenance of the ones on the lot now. I’m not sure what I’ll do if 7 or 8 more cars show up. Let’s take it easy until Sunday gets here and we’ve got the day off.”

  6. PENNY: “The last time we called Victoria they said they would get 5 cars right over to us, but they didn’t come through. Remember, Armando? Why should we work so much harder than they do? If we’re a little bit short on cars this weekend, what’s the big deal?“

  7. ARMANDO: “Hey, you two must have big plans for the weekend to be so lazy. I make my best commissions off selling those big SUVs & trucks for tourists headin’ to the beach. Why should we let the nationals in Corpus have all the money? Let’s get our share while we can—it’s going to be great weather this weekend, which means both Corpus & Padre are going to be packed.”

  8. Why did this conversation reflect about F.A.S.T. as a team?

  9. What should F.A.S.T. do now & in the future to create greater consensus about team operations matters like those in play here?

  10. What’s the best way to respond: “Penny never wants to take on more team responsibility.” “Gloria doesn’t get to work as early as the rest of us.” “Too many customers are gripy.” “I don’t get enough credit for what I do.” “Armando sure does like to B.S. with people.” Why can’t I have this Saturday off?”
