  1. Nominal think Nom or Name • Nominal would be collecting animals based on there names. • Here we are collecting Bears and Lions

  2. Ordinal Think Order • Here we are collecting things in some sort of order. We have little bears, medium bears and big bears. • Notice there are no real numbers associated with ordinal data.

  3. Interval data - think numbersor intervals • Here we are collecting bears based on how much they weigh. We have 110-159 pound bears • We have 160-219 pound bears and • We have 220-269 pound bears. We have our categories based on numerical measurable data 110-125 pounds 160-219 pounds 220-269 pounds
